Celebrating Holi with Amber Palace: A Colourful Event in China!

Amber Palace Indian Restaurant is renowned for its delicious Indian cuisine, inviting ambiance, top-notch service, and vibrant cultural events. Recently, we celebrated Holi, the joyous festival of colours, at three of our locations: Kunming on March 24th, and Xian and Wuhan on March 31st. The festivities brought together hundreds of happy individuals from diverse communities, including working professionals, tourists, locals, and international students together.

The celebrations kicked off with a traditional Ganesh Pooja at 11 AM, followed by welcome drinks and snacks. Soon, everyone gathered to participate in the lively Holi festivities. An enthusiastic anchor led the celebrations with music, dance, and joyous shouts and lucky draws, while our talented Amber Palace dancers wowed the crowd with energetic Bollywood performances.

The atmosphere was nothing short of electrifying, as the cities of Kunming, Xian, and Wuhan were transformed into a kaleidoscope of colours – reds, blues, violets, and more! It truly felt like a global festival, with people from all walks of life coming together to revel in the spirit of Holi.

After the exhilarating celebrations, guests enjoyed in a traditional Holi buffet, featuring an array of mouthwatering dishes. From Tandoori kebabs to butter chicken, prawn curry to chickpea curry, veg biriyani to assorted breads, the feast was a culinary delight. And let’s not forget the delicious desserts, including fruit custard and rice kheer.

Amber Palace Xian, our flagship restaurant, has been hosting Holi celebrations since 2013. However, this year marked the first Holi event in Wuhan and Kunming, and the response was overwhelming. We are committed to providing an authentic Indian experience and our Holi celebrations are just one example of our commitment to spreading joy and cultural richness.
